Le collecteur d'impôts, encore lui et Carla, encore elle....Again the Taxman and again Carla....
Comme je le mentionnais dans l’article précédent, avant que je ne m’évade vers Orion, non pas pour évasion fiscale, mais plutôt pour me changer les idées et sortir tous ces chiffres de ma tête, très encombrant et assommant ces déclarations d’impôts, eh bien j’avais retravaillé brièvement le pastel de Carla, pas encore tout-à-fait à mon goût, mais je crois que j’y suis presque, ce moment où je le signerai…en attendant la dernière version et le diaporama
As mentionned in the last post, before taking away for Orion, not to evade the Taxman, but just to try to clear my head of all those numbers I had to compile for those return forms, I did work a bit on this pastel of Carla Brown, it is still not quite to my liking, not much missing, but to me, there is still something lacking, it should not be too long to fix, I think….so in the meantime here’s the latest version and as usual the slideshow, as for Carla’s pic, if you go two posts before, you will find her…
Et pour la suite du pastel inspiré de la nébuleuse d’Orion, probablement demain et j’ai aussi retravaillé ce tableau de ce modèle, parfois songeuse, parfois souriante, et qui sourit de plus en plus, moi aussi, peut-être suffisamment pour dire que ce tableau est terminé, mais cela on verra si c’est le cas.
And next, there will be a follow up on this pastel, inspired by the Orion’s Nebulae, and on top of that I did reworked this painting featuring a sometimes smiling or pondering model, now she’s more smiley than pondering, and maybe me too, I am smiling, I always does when I think that the end of a painting is almost there…just lacking a few final touches and a signature…but for now, it is still to be decided…

Rien comme le pastel...Nothing like pastel for...
Toutes sortes de petites choses qui font que de ce temps-ci, je ne parviens pas à trouver le temps de peindre….dans ces moments là, c’est souvent le pastel qui m’aide à reprendre l’élan, peut-être parce qu’il n’y a rien à préparer, et que c’est rapide, et comme il y avait toujours le pastel de Carla, je ne me suis pas posé trop de questions…seulement commencé à dessiner, enfin peindre, finalement le pastel et Carla, ça fait un bien beau mélange…et peut-être que je me remettrai à peindre plus régulièrement…mais cela c’est plutôt imprévisible.
All kind of things had the way of preventing me from painting, and sometimes after a few days I feel like I’m getting stuck, difficult to get going again, and when this happen, more than often, working with pastels seems to be the solution, the trick to get going, maybe because you don’t have to set up anything at all, simple, you just pick them up and draw, or paint, and since Carla»’s pastel was still on the easel, then I just kept working on this one, pastel and Carla are a good recipe for start moving again…maybe, I guess it is kind of unpredictable.

Of course, you do know the ritual, so here’s the slideshow, and Carla’ photo.

Les élections...et les doigts sales / Elections...and dirty fingers...
Entre les heures passées soit à travailler sur ma boutique, et essayer de trouver le moyen de monter cette boutique correctement, du moins de la partir comme il se doit, et aussi du temps passé à voter et à regarder les élections, fallait bien aussi que je me salisse les doigts, non pour ceux qui ne le savent pas j’habite au Québec, et contrairement aux élections afghanes, on ne devait pas se salir le doigt pour montrer qu’on avait voté, par contre moi je me suis sali les doigts, les dix plutôt qu’un…pour faire du pastel et me rappeler, que, oui c’est important de travailler l’aspect boutique, vente et autres, mais qu’avant tout il faut bien que je produise ce que je compte vendre…donc un peu de pastel…Carla…

Mon site est en panne....My site is down...donc/So Carla!
Toujours en panne, je veux dire que mon site principal JMR-ART, est toujours en panne, peut-être devrais-je commencer à penser à tout transférer ici, en espérant qu’un jour je puisse récupérer tout ce que j’ai sur l’autre site…celui que pour le moment je ne peux rien faire…je vous épargne les commentaires et remarques que j’ai le goût de dire sur cette situation, on peut y accéder mais depuis lundi je ne peux le mettre à jour, et récupérer les articles que j’avais préparés…donc j’improvise encore une fois….et je voulais aussi en profiter pour présenter la dernière version du pastel de Carla…

Il y a aussi Carla...Oh, but there is also Carla
C’est bien beau d’essayer d’améliorer mes vidéos, mettre à jour mes sites…depuis quelques semaines je suis plus ‘régulier’…:), mais faut tout-de-même que je prenne un peu de temps pour avancer quelques toiles et un pastel qui sont en cours, si je veux avoir un peu de nouveau matériel à présenter…alors ce soir, lendemain de Super Bowl…qui a été bien bon pour moi en terme de $$$$$, eh bien un peu de pastel, et Carla qui prend forme, je n’ai pas eu l’expression de son visage…mais cela viendra, il y a quelque chose dans ce visage que j’aimerais bien saisir avec mes fidèles amis retrouvés, mes pastels…

Encore plus des mêmes choses, quelques problèmes avec certains sites…ça va ça repart, hier je ne pouvais même pas accéder à mes photos, tout cela me ramène toujours à la nécessité qu’un jour je fasse le ménage dans mes sites et décider le ou lesquels je vais privilégier, mais je crois que ce jour est encore loin..donc en attendant je me suis sali les doigts avec mes pastels en essayant de dessiner les traits et autres de Carla…faut bien se salir pour faire du beau…:)
Still more of the same, still struggling with my computer, certain sites, which are on or off access to me, and I don’t know why, last night could not access my pics…and all of that keep remind me that some day, probably still a bit far, I will clean up all my sites, deciding to keep some, letting others go…but this is not going to happen these days…so finally decided to get dirty, I mean my fingers, smudged with pastel, trying to get the shape of Carla face and others things of course, like her boots for example…

It is a good thing to work on videos, updating my sites, struggling with a few sites that are sometimes on, sometimes can’t even access my files…and it was the Superbowl on top of that, which has been good for me…not a nice game but won some $$$$, but finally the most important thing after all is painting and drawing, so finally back to Carla, still struggling to get her face right, but the rest is coming along nicely

Il y a bien longtemps /ItS been a very long time...
Que je n’avais pas commencé un nouveau pastel…le plus long aura été de trouver une photo…pas le manque, le choix est difficile…trouver mon papier qui s’est retrouvé sous une immense pile d’esquisses, sortir mes pastels de l’endroit où ils étaient rangés depuis des mois, des lunes…et qui était mystérieusement, l’endroit veut dire, disparu…de ma mémoire…Tout cela pour dire que ce sera un pastel d’une jolie modèle…oui elle porte des bottes, elle se nomme Carla Brown, un lien vers la page d’un site d’un fan d’elle… Comme chaque pastel un début très aéré, léger, à peine esquissé…
It’s been a long time I did not start a new pastel, lost lot of time founding a picture to paint, find the paper, that been left under piles of other papers, find my pastels themselves, store in a place a few months ago, and of course I could not quite remember where they were….they almost vanished from my memories, not fun getting older or simply not very organised…Finally everything was ready…the model, she’s wearing boots, her name his Carla Brown, as it is often the case it begins with a barely sketched model, very light…

Je ne sais trop comment le dire, je me sens plus rouillé….au pastel qu’avec mes pinceaux, peut-être seulement une impression sur le coup ce soir, difficile de m’y mettre, ou peut-être, et cela aussi j’en ai l’impression un peu vague depuis des semaines, c’est que ma façon de peindre ou de dessiner a changé, pas les sujets…dans cela je reste bien constant….:) mais je sens sans trop être sûr de quoi, ou si c’est vraiment le cas, mais je pense que ma manière de travailler à changer…peut-être suis-je trop ‘dedans’ pour savoir si c’est le cas ou tout simplement une vague impression d’un soir…:) et la dernière photo de cette séance un peu bizarre…
I can’t really tell if it is true, just a feeling, although it was hard get going, I do feel that once started it was going slow, but well, not really good at explaining how I do feel when I am drawing or painting, also I do have the impression that somehow my way of working has changed, but don’t know if it is just a strange impression I have tonight, well we will have to wait and see I guess, in the meantime the latest version of that certain night session

Ouf la journée a passé, à faire toutes sortes de choses qui ont toutes pas mal à voir avec mon art, mais j’ai à peine réussi à avancer quelque peu ce nouveau pastel, échangé avec des amis, amateurs ou artistes, trouvé que finalement You Tube ètait probablement la façon la plus simple de faire mes vidéos making of, mis à jour quelques-uns de mes sites, d’ailleurs je vous invite à aller jeter un coup d’oeil sur la page ‘making of’, le vidéo de Lonneke en un seul morceau de 10 minutes, de la musique serait bien, reste seulement à voir comment être conforme aux normes de copyrights….des choses en développement, j’en parlerai au fur et à mesure que ces projets prendront formes, quant au pastel il en est rendu là,.
Wow, where is it gone, passed like a breeze doing all king of little things, most of them related to what I like to do, art….but almost did anything at all on this new pastel, talked exchanged with far away friends, art amateur, fellow artists; finally realised that probably You tube was the best way to go for my making of videos, like the one of Lonneke, in one video, instead of four, still have to find music, without having trouble with copyrights infringments. and a few projetcts, I will write about them when thing start to shape up a bit more, as for Carla’s pastel, here it is…
