Retravaillé quelque peu ce pastel, un peu plus dans les prochains jours…il se fait tard et le temps est relativement court, compressé…:) c’est relatif aurait dit Einstein…

A bit of work on this pastel of Rachel Kirby, a bit more in the next days..time is short, compressed…:) Einstein would had qualified it otherwise…:)

Tourner en rond ou peindre...

Peu de temps pour peindre, à peine le temps de pondre un court article sur une nouvelle toile commencée en fin-de-semaine, tournait en rond, pour toutes sortes de raisons, je tourne en rond lorsque cela ne tourne pas rond pour moi…alors me suis dit, pourquoi pas un petit tableau d’après une esquisse…alors voici le début…

Not much time for painting, or blogging, but a short post to show a new painting, a copy of a model sketch, did not know what I wanted to paint, did not know much about anything sometimes last week end, so instead of spinning my wheels, doing nothing, I though that maybe a painting, without much preparation or planning would be better than what I was doing, which was going from nothing to walking to the end of my appartment and back to the atelier, so here’s the beginning of this painting, very sketchy at this point

Un titre? et l'ordi aussi.../A tiltle? and also computer stories...

Pas encore décidé à effacer mon disque dur et réparer windows, le problème intermittent, ne se manifestait pas hier, c’est un peu la nature d’un problème intermittent, donc préféré faire des copies de sauvegarde…et peindre…donc quelques versions récentes de ce tableau sans titre…autre problème moins intermittent, j’ai aucune imagination pour les titres…La chambre d’un ange, modèle dans une chambre ensoleillé, mais est-ce une chambre? peut-être un salon…ou autre pièce, ou lumière matinale, mais est-ce le matin..sais pas, donc sans titre…à moins que le titre serait 422….la version de voilà trois jours, je ne parvenais pas à obtenir correctement la pose, surtout de la tête…et corrections ici et là…

Did not went with wiping out my hard drive and reinstalling windows, that on an off problem, did not happened yesterday, so spent time painting and making backup files…..I guess that’s the problem with on and off problems, sometimes they are there, or not…also I do have another problem, titles, I never come with a good title for my paintings…Model in a sunbathed chamber, but is it a chamber, or another room, Morning light, but maybe it is not morning…I think I will call it 422, or untitle, for the time being…a version of a few days ago, had a hard time getting her pose right, the head mainly, and fixing here and there…

Et plus de travail hier, après quelques ‘errances’ je pense que tout est en place….peut-être encore un peu de travail sur le fond, plus de contraste et textures, aussi dans ses vêtements, qui sont déjà pas mal, même son visage, je crois est pas mal…mais je crois que je vais la laisser tel quel, du moins pour quelques jours ou semaines…

And more work yesterday, went off a few times, but got it back, I think, I like it the way it is now, maybe a bit more contrast and textures, not necessarely details, may be needed, the background mainly, maybe a bit more work on her clothes, but there more than ok now I think…will see, but probably left it a few days or weeks…

Ahh le plaisir de reformater un ordi.../Ahh so much fun, reformating a computer

Serai probablemement peu présent pour une journée ou plus, j’espère que non…nouvel ordi, normalement sans problèmes donc, parfois ce n’est pas le cas…donc devrai recharger windows, pour voir si le problème est là…un problème avec Windows…? cela se peut…sourire ironique sous entendu….en attendant, il y a du nouveau à préparer, des photos du dernier atelier de modèles, mise-à-jour du tableau de cette inconnue dans une chambre inondée de lumière, mais tout cela n’est pas prêt, donc la dernière version de Sophie, qui date de quelques jours…que j’avais gardé en réserve….

Will probably be ‘offline’ for a day, or more, hope not….Some problems with Windows, I know it may sound impossible, on a new system, sarcastic smiling if you read between the lines…but in the meantime, some things to prepare to be posted as soon as possible, last life model sessions sketches, a few updates on this model leaning on a couch or bed in a lightful room, but not ready yet, so here’s the latest version of Sophie Marceau’s painting, taken a few days ago…

Une autre que Sophie? There is another painting than Sophie?

Toiles que celle de Sophie, que j’ai retravaillée aujourd’hui, mais comme je me dis qu’un peu de nouveauté ne ferait pas de tort, je vais la garder en réserve pour un prochain article…mais j’ai aussi travaillé une autre toile, une acrylique, pour le moment sans titre…un modèle dans une chambre ensoleillé, vous la reconnaîtrez probablement…mais un peu ‘un pas en arrière’, quelques erreurs de dessin qui me fatiguaient..donc un peu en reconstruction….

Yes, there is a few others paintings I’m working on beside Sophies, that I did reworked today, but I told myself that maybe you would rather like to see something new, no not entirely new, it is an acrylic started a few weeks ago, I was not happy with the position of this model head…maybe I should have left it as it was, but too late, so it is a bit in a ‘reconstruction stage’…

Sophie...un peu de détail encore...a bit more detail

Une autre courte mise-à-jour, Sophie, un peu plus travaillé, le visage, les cheveux, j’adore les textures, ainsi que celles de sa robe et de ses bottes…bien sûr…

Another quick update, Sophie, reworked her face, hair, love the texture, and also the details in her dress and boots…of course…

Peut-être que je m’attarde trop aux détails, possible…mais j’ai le goût de le faire…:)
Maybe I’m putting too much on the details, it is possible, but I like to do so very much…:)
